Are Robot Mowers Safe Around Children?

Robot mowers have multiple safety features: lift sensors stop the blades within milliseconds if the mower is picked up. Tilt sensors stop blades if the mower tips. The small blades are set far back from the mower edge, making accidental contact less likely than with a push mower.

Vision-equipped models actively avoid people. However, no manufacturer recommends unsupervised operation around small children. The blades are still sharp enough to cause injury.

Schedule mowing when kids are not playing in the yard, or supervise until you are comfortable with the mower behavior.
